MUSC Longford Juniors on the ball

With Manchester United opening the 2024/25 Premier League season on Friday 16th August 2024 we caught up with 5 excited MUSC Longford Junior Members.

Great to hear from them and learn about they're love for the Red Devils and also get a few cheeky predictions for what's in store on the first and last day of this season's Premier League.

1.

Jessica Fennessy is a third generation Man Utd fan and will be taking in Friday's game from the stands with her family.

At age 13 she has been a United fan all her life and her favourite player is Marcus Rashford.

Jessica wants Manchester United to finish 3rd this season.

She is predicting a 2-1 Victory in our opening fixture against Fulham.

Jessica won this fantastic piece of memorabilia at an event which was attended by MUSC Longford while over in Manchester on one of our trips during the 2023/24 Season.

Emily Adams, age 9, is lucky enough to be attending our opening fixture v Fulham on Friday night also and has modestly predicted United to finish 4th and see us return to the Champions League. 

Emily's favourite player is the always exciting Alejandro Garnacho and who would blame her as what a class act he is.

She will be hoping to see his magic earn us victory and will take a 1-0 win with Garnacho scoring obviously.

Emily will be sporting this lovely jersey for her visit to The Theatre of Dreams.

Next up is young Charlie Hussey (10)  who sits in his idol Bruno Fernandes' seat, great picture.

Charlie also predicts United to finish 4th and is hoping for an opening day 2-0 win for the Red Devils.

Who knows maybe one day Charlie will occupy this seat as a player himself and be another kids idol.

Another lovely new jersey sported by Oisín Nugent, Aged 10. 

Oisín's favourite player is Scott McTominay.

Top 3 is where he sees United at the end of the season.

Oisín predicts a 4-2 victory against Fulham and what a way to open the premier league season that would be.

Leon Keegan is also 10 years old, he is a mad Manchester United and Longford Town fan.

Leon had the honour of walking out with legends of both clubs during the recent match to celebrate 100 years of Longford Town FC during the summer.

When it comes to his favourite player he also has two in the form of young Garnacho and the legendary Casemiro.

Leon predicts United to finish 4th and to start off with a 2-1 win on Friday.
