Going on up to the Spirit in The Sky

The County Longford Branch of the Manchester United supporters Club would like to express our heartfelt sympathy to the Foley family on the sad passing of Martin Foley.

Martin held the honour of being the first Chairman of MUSC Longford, holding the position from 1995 to 1999.

He leaves some great memories within the club and also greater friends, he will be truly missed and fondly remembered.

There were some incredible Man United nights in The Dandy Diner during the early years of MUSC Longford, ones that will live long in the memory just like the man himself, one of the most memorable being the night of the Champions League final in May 1999.

Martin was a true gentleman, not only to his friends and patrons but also to his fellow reds and in fact anyone who graced his door.

Condolences to all his family and friends from each and every member of the Manchester United Supporters Club Longford.

Rest in peace Martin, you're "Going on up to the Spirit in the Sky",
